If you go to Paris, you must visit the Louvre Museum, or Musee de Louvre in French, which is the world's largest art museum. The Louvre was originally built as a fortress for Philip Augustus in 1190 but was reconstructed into a royal palace by Pierre Lescot, Louis Le Vau, and Claude Perrault on August 10, 1793. In 2018, it received 10.2 million visitors, which was ranked 1st nationally and 1st globally. The museum has a total of 537 paintings. You can read more about the history of the Louvre here.
Review: The museum is extremely huge and there is no way you can conquer this place in one day. I was exhausted after a few hours here and my wife and I barely saw a quarter of it. It's the most visited art museum in the world for a reason and if you go to Paris and miss this place, then you haven't seen Paris.
